On Thursday, June 6, the Berman Museum honored history and veterans at the annual D-Day Salute. Among the 200 community members in attendance were WWII veterans, William Wilkens, Reginald Climes, Plemer East, and Ralph Bolt. The commemorative ceremony honoring the 75th anniversary of D-Day offered recognition from Major General Sylvester Cannon, Assistant Adjutant General Alabama National Guard, Chaplain Tom Smith (Ret.) U.S.
Army, RDML W. Kent Davis (Ret.) USN, Commissioner AL Dept of Veterans Affairs, and David Ford, Anniston Museums and Gardens Assistant Director. Entertainment was provided by the Mountain Street Brass and HeartNotes.
