January 27 is International Holocaust Remembrance Day, a day set aside to remember the 6 million Jews and others murdered by the Nazis during World War II. We remember those lost and those who survived and remind ourselves to remain vigilant when hatred abounds. Sherry Blanton will be sharing the stories of Holocaust survivors and residents of Calhoun County. She will describe what was required for them to escape to the United States and finish with a roll call as we remember our neighbors.
