Join the Longleaf Botanical Gardens for a special Third Thursday in the Gardens presentation of Highclere Castle’s gardens, shown through beautiful images. This garden was a filming location for the popular British series, Downton Abbey. We will learn about gardens from the opulent Edwardian era in England with June Mays. Attendees will take home ideas and inspiration for their own garden. June Mays worked as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch and UBS for 31 years before her retirement in 2009. Ms. Mays is a published author. Her works include Women’s Guide to Financial Self Defense. She studied garden design at the English Gardening School at the Chelsea Physic Garden in London, receiving diplomas in Garden Design and Plantsmanship. Using her skills, she has designed or consulted on over 100 gardens and enjoys lecturing and writing. Her resume includes writing for Southern Accents, Flower, Fine Gardening, Birmingham Home and Garden, The Alabama Gardener, HGTV, and Lowe’s.
