Navajo Code Talkers

Join the Berman Museum and Collections Manager Alex Campbell in celebrating Native American Heritage Month and Veterans Day as we explore the extraordinary legacy of the Navajo Code Talkers. This elite group of U.S. Marines developed and used a code based on the Navajo language to transmit secure messages during World War II, playing a vital role in the success of U.S. forces in the Pacific. Visitors will also have the chance to test their skills by attempting to decrypt a secret message using the original Code Talkers’ dictionary.

This program is included with museum admission and free for AM&G members, active military, and veterans
