When are you open?

We are open Tuesday-Saturday 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, last admission sold at 4:30 pm; Sundays 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm, last admission sold at 4:30 pm; and Summer Mondays, Memorial Day – Labor Day.

Longleaf Event Center is open to the public the third Thursday of each month and for private events. To view the event center for renting purposes, please contact the Program Manager at wgraves@annistonal.gov or (256) 237-6261 x 421.

Anniston Museums and Gardens is closed Easter Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.

Is there an admission cost?

Passport Ticket (discounted rate to visit Anniston Museum of Natural History and Berman Museum) is $18/Adult, $15/Senior, and $12/Child. Children ages 0-3 are free.
General Admission for one museum is $12/Adult, $10/Senior, and $8/Child. Children ages 0-3 are free.

Do I need to buy tickets online?

Tickets are available for purchase at our Visitor Services desks and can be purchased online.

How long does it take to tour the museum?

Anticipate spending at least 2-3 hours to tour both museums. General admission tours are self-guided and we encourage you to explore at your leisure. Look up, down, and all around, for your museum experience is all around you. One visit is never enough to Explore Your World!

Can I bring my dog?

Animals, with the exception of Service Animals, are not permitted inside the Anniston Museum of Natural History, Berman Museum, or Longleaf Event Center.

Leashed pets are permitted on all our trails, EXCEPT the Bird of Prey Trail. Pets are not permitted on the Bird of Prey Trail for the safety of our permanent resident raptors. Please clean up your animal’s waste so everyone may enjoy their AM&G experience.

How do I make a (monetary/collection item/live animal) donation?

Monetary donation: Click Contribute and select an amount or enter a specific amount to donate online, call 256-237-6766 x 409 to donate by phone, or notify the Visitor Services during your next visit!

Collection Item/Artifact: Contact the Collections Department dspaulding@annistonmuseum.org or 256-237-6766 x 414

Can someone appraise my artifact?

We are unable to appraise or authenticate items, but are happy to provide references to qualified appraisers. Contact dspaulding@annistonmuseum.org or call 256-237-6766 x 414.

I have an injured or orphaned animal. What do I do? Can AM&G help?

AM&G is not a licensed rehabilitation center. Below are the proper contacts to provide the best care for injured/orphaned animals!

Birds (including Raptors): Please call the Alabama Wildlife Center in Oak Mountain State Park at (205) 663-7930, extension 1 with any questions concerning injured or orphaned birds. They are a licensed wildlife rehabilitation center and have experts on staff. Visit their website at www.awrc.org.

Is this snake venomous?

We are unable to travel to identify or remove snakes on private property, but we are happy to help you identify the snake. Email wildlife photos to amageducation@annistonal.gov. For assistance removing a snake from your Calhoun County property, contact Snake Removal of Calhoun County (256) 405-6755.
