Group Visits

Anniston Museums and Gardens resides on 125 acres just three miles from Downtown Anniston. We provide a safe, fun environment for people of all ages interested in learning about history and nature. Looking to bring a group to the Anniston Museums and Gardens? Schedule a group tour to make the most of your visit!

Groups of 10 or more paying visitors receive discounted rates when scheduled two weeks in advance. Groups are required to submit one form of payment to receive the group rate. To schedule a group of 10 or more, contact the Education Director.

Explore the exhibit halls of the Anniston Museum of Natural History and/or the Berman Museum at your group’s pace. Scavenger hunts are available and free to print to enhance your self-guided tour. Self-guided museum group tours are available Tuesday – Sunday.
Walk the Longleaf Botanical Gardens and Longleaf Nature Trail at your own leisure. This tour is available the second Thursday of the month at 9:00 am, 10:00 am, and 11:00 am.
Schedule self-guided tours two weeks in advance to receive the group rate. Self-guided tours are great for all ages!

Cost: $5 per person (one museum/garden)
Passport Cost: $10 per person (two museums/garden)
All Access Cost: $15 per person (full AM&G)

Explore the exhibit halls of the Anniston Museum of Natural History and/or the Berman Museum with an educator or docent leading the way. Hear behind the scenes stories and learn collections details not highlighted on a self-guided tour. Guided tours are available Tuesday – Saturday 10:00 – 3:00pm. Plan for 1 ½ hours for your guided tour.
Enjoy a Longleaf Wild Walk as you’re guided on a tree and plant identification trail walk. Enjoy a video about the Longleaf Botanical Gardens and presentation. The Longleaf Wild Walk is available the second Thursday of the month at 9:00 am, 10:00 am, and 11:00 am.
Schedule guided tours three weeks in advance to receive the group rate. Guided tours are great for grades 3 and up.

Cost: $10 per person (one museum/garden)
Passport Cost: $18 per person (two museums/gardens)
All Access Cost: $20 per person (full AM&G)

Go behind the scenes to discover the heart of our collection. This exclusive tour allows your group to tour the Collections Departments at the Anniston Museum of Natural History and/or Berman Museum and view artifacts that the public rarely gets to see. This tour is offered to small groups of 10 or less. Large groups may be accommodated by dividing into smaller groups on a rotation. This tour includes a self-guided tour of the exhibit halls.

Available Tuesday – Friday with at least two weeks’ notice. Plan for 30 minutes in the Collections Department and at least an hour to tour the exhibit halls.

Cost: $10 per person (one museum)
Passport Cost: $20 per person (both museums)

An Anniston Museum educator will provide a 30-minutes program that reinforces curriculum connections for our younger audience. This tour is designed for Pre-K through Grade 2 and special needs students. Touch Trek tours include a self-guided tour of Anniston Museum of Natural History.

Learn about the amazing diversity of animals that are native to the southeastern United States, specifically Alabama and Georgia! Meet some notorious endangered species and learn about ongoing conservation efforts.

Reptiles Alive!

Call them slimy, scaly, or cold-blooded, but these unique animals have been around a long time and are very valuable to their habitats and humans. Explore the world of reptiles from around the world.

Skilled Survivors

Members of the Animal Kingdom have incredible adaptations and often comical and strange survival skills. Meet several of our animal ambassadors and explore their special skill sets.

Schedule a Live Animal Presentation with your group tour, or let us bring the animals to you as an outreach! Live Animal Presentations are 45-minutes and are great for groups of all ages!

  • $125 per presentation
  • $50 deposit required
  • Presentation is limited to 180 people

Live Animal Presentation Outreaches:

  • $125 for groups up to 100
  • $175 for groups 101-200
  • $1/person for groups 200+
  • Additional mileage fee of $0.57/mile outside of Calhoun County
