How to Attract Pollinators to Your Garden
It may be cold and dreary, but we are dreaming of blooms and pollinators! Join the Longleaf Botanical Gardens in learning how to attract pollinators to your garden. This Third Thursday’s presenter is Lisa Bartlett, Garden Manager for the Smith-Gilbert Gardens.
Lisa is responsible for maintaining over 4,000 species of plants. The collection ranges from rare herbaceous perennials to rare and unusual trees, including one of the largest Bonsai collections in the southeast. She created the award-winning Butterfly Exhibit at Smith-Gilbert Gardens in 2017, and in 2018 Lisa created a Crevice Garden, the first of its kind in Georgia. Lisa served on the board of the American Hydrangea Society and is in the process of creating what she hopes will be a nationally recognized collection of Hydrangea. She also had her own gardening call-in radio show, called Green and Grow.
All program attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch. Waters will be provided. Third Thursday programs are $5/person and free for AM&G Members. Pre-registration is encouraged.
